Dispute Between Tow-Truck Companies May Have Led To Philly Murder: Police

The early morning slaying of a 25-year-old in Philadelphia last month may have been the result of "a dispute between competing tow-truck companies responding to a car accident," city police believe.

The male victim was shot dead around 1 a.m. on the corner of Chester Avenue and 52nd Street on Sept. 23, the department said.

In video footage released by police, the shooter is seen getting out of the backseat of a 2014 to 2016 Kia Sportage along with the driver, approaching a group on the corner, and opening fire.

Footage from the Sept. 23 shooting released by PPD.
